The Haus Schwarzenberg is probably the smallest, but also most exceptional Street Art Hotspot in Berlin. The house is located right in the center of Berlin, next to the Hackesche Höfe. This impressive area is quite secluded and hidden.
Once you enter the alley, you are being overwhelmed by all the street art, murals, paintings… It is quite the contrast to the very expensive shops and clean walls that can be found in the surrounding.
The tunnel is coated with paper and most colorful artwork. The whole yard is a protected space for historic reasons. Painting on the walls is actually illegal; but still the entire right hand side of the yard is covered with Street Art.
The Artists
The large walls feature artwork from street artists from all over the world. Works include big paintings, stickers, Paste-Ups, Cut-Outs, stencils, mosaics, installations, guerilla knittings… At the moment you can find works there from international street artists such as: James Cobran aka Jimmy C., Alice Pasquini aka AliCé, Caro Pepe, Otto Schade, The Weird, Reka, Descreet, Alias, El Bocho, Sr. Papá Chango, Plotbon KEN, Tona, Patera, Emess, Herr von Bias (HRvB), Prost, Joy Foc, Robi the Dog, Various & Gould, Soon, Mymo, Rallitox, Lake Oner…

Otto Weidt’s Workshop of the Blind
The workshop is one of the reasons why the whole Haus Schwarzenberg is protected today,. The exhibition that can be found in the same rooms where the worshop took place between 1940 and 1943, Otto Weidt’s Workshop of the Blind, is telling the story of Otto Weidt, a salesman who employed blind and handicapped Jews during the Nazi regime, in order to protect them from deportation.

Anne Frank Zentrum
The Anne Frank Zentrum is telling the story of Anne Frank in form of a timeline that is showing the events in her life parallel to events that took place in the history of Nazi Germany. It focuses on her dairies and her life as a writer.
In cooperation with, Street Art Berlin and Street Art London, Jimmy C. painted a mural of Anne Frank right next to the extrance of the Zentrum.
